Usually I do not eat breakfast in the morning because I prefer to have a hot drink like tea or coffee. However, I love the snack time (I am still a greedy child), that’s why I like to prepare recipes in advance often in the evening so that my taste is ready the next day. This recipe is simple and requires a full night’s rest.
Modus Operandi: yummy chia pudding
– 1 jar of Greek yogurt (150g)
– 1 + 1/2 teaspoon chia seeds
– 50 mL of water
– 2 tablespoons agave syrup
Topping: fresh strawberries and raspberries, sweet granola, nuts etc.
Mix all the ingredients in the recipe without topping.
Let rest overnight in a fridge.
The next day, place the topping of your choice and enjoy.
Nota bene: If you are in a hurry or forgot to prepare the recipe the day before, you can always prepare it the same day. To do this, mix the chia seeds, water and yogurt with a spoon for 5 minutes until the chia seeds swell. Add the agave syrup and topping and the result will be equivalent !

This looks yummy! I’m with you about having those healthy snacks ready. While I usually eat breakfast when I get up, I often don’t feel like bothering with lunch for myself so I graze on crackers and hummus or make-ahead special salads.

This was a very interesting recipe, Greek yogurt, chia seed….? Never heard of those ones, I´ll see if they sell it here in Spain. I do consider myself a pretty good cook ( I might be lying to myself but I get away with good healthy and inexpensive food, thanks for being a sole son raised by a mother) and I will try my best to mimick your recipe, maybe burn something in the meantime but like everything just put in the work on it, looks delicious.

Chia seeds are most often mixed with yogurt but also in salads, cereals or smoothie. These small seeds are rich in protein, calcium, potassium and antioxidant. I highly recommend them in your diet every day. I hope you like my recipe, don’t forget that chia seeds must have a rest time to swell and make this pudding consistency.

Do you happen to have any recipes that require ground flax seed?

I do not have for now but actually you can add it to this recipe as topping. It can be good too.

You know I’ve never tried chia seeds! This is so simple, I think I’ll have to try it out. Little Mr. Picky might actually like it too if there’s enough fruit!
